Troubleshooting & FAQ
My automation isn't creating items
Start with the automation's activity log. If the trigger fired, you'll see it listed there. If you don't see an entry for an event you expected, the most likely reason is that a filter excluded it: filtered-out events never reach the automation, so the webhook simply isn't fired and there's nothing to log. Try loosening or temporarily removing the filter to confirm.
If the trigger did fire but no item appeared on your board, check that every required column has a field mapped to it.
Why don't I see a trigger for the event I need?
We're steadily adding new trigger types. If there's a store event you'd like to automate that isn't covered yet, let us know via Support & resources; it helps us prioritize what to build next.
Frequently asked questions
Which Shopify events can I trigger workflows from?
Quite a few, orders, products, customers, companies, checkouts, draft orders, returns, and disputes all have dedicated triggers, each covering several events such as created, updated, and fulfilled. See Automation triggers for the full, up-to-date list grouped by entity, along with the data each one sends.
Does the app store any of my Shopify data?
We don't store your Shopify credentials. Store events pass through the connector just long enough to match them against your triggers and filters and deliver them to monday.com.
Can I connect multiple Shopify stores?
Yes. Connect as many Shopify stores as you need to a single monday.com account, and reuse each connection across as many automations as you like.
Is there a risk of duplicate items on my board?
No. The connector deduplicates events that arrive in quick succession, so only the latest update for a given record is delivered to your board.
What happens if my store processes a high volume of events?
The connector queues and deduplicates incoming events so your automations keep firing reliably during busy periods, you shouldn't need to do anything differently for a high-traffic store.
